--my friends who are Members of the club wants to participate in the italian festival for additional credit

Class Activities

--Characterize each of the three characters:  Proctor, Hale, Abigail
--use a few short sentences about them to describe them; pretend you are writing to inform someone who does not about the play, The Crucible, at all.

--Begin reading Act III on p. 180; read up until line 300 on p. 185
--characterize Elizabeth using Stage Directions, and Dialogue

--now read Danforth's lines 344-354 on p. 186.
--discuss his "All or Nothing" philosophy in these lines
--write a paragraph that explains both sides of Danforth's argument.  He says that "a person is either with this court, or he should be counted against it."
--discuss the argument from his point of view with a brief explanation
--discuss the argument from someone else's point of view, such as John Proctor; also include a brief explanation.
